Professional Details

Prof. Dr. Martin Nettesheim has joined the FnG as visiting fellow for the winter semester 2018/19.
Since 1999, he has been holding the chair of Public, Administrative, European and International law at the university of Tübingen as successor of Prof. Dr. Thomas Oppermann. At the same time he became chair of the Tuebingen University Center for International Economic Law (TURCIEL). Furthermore, Prof. Nettesheim is teaching European and International Economic Law as visiting professor in Berkeley, Miami, Nanjing and Kyoto and from 2003 to 2005 he served as dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Tübingen. In 2015 Prof. Nettesheim became Permanent Visiting Fellow at the Center for European Studies of the University of California in Berkeley. He is co-editor of a legal commentary on EU law (Grabitz/Hilf/Nettesheim, Das Recht der Europäischen Union, Volume 3-2015, app. 6000 pages), co-author of a textbook on European Law (Europarecht, 8. Auflage 2018) and author of various articles and comments regarding European, International and Constitutional Law.
